ox_target

Visual redesign of ox_target. Drop-in replacement with the same API and a new liquid glass UI.

ox_target is NX Creative's visual redesign of Overextended's ox_target. It is a drop-in replacement: every export, event, and option still works the same way. Only the web UI was rewritten.

What is different

  • Liquid glass panels. Real WebGL blur of the game view, with per-option dome refraction and edge contour distortion.
  • Adaptive text. Each panel samples its own background luminance and switches between light and dark text.
  • Spatial motion. The menu flies out from a center eye on target acquire, then follows the entity in screen space with a distance-based scale and a staggered entry animation.
  • Sora typography. Sora replaces the default system font. FontAwesome icons are unchanged.

What is unchanged

  • All Lua under client/, server/, and locales/ matches upstream ox_target v1.17.2.
  • Same framework bridges: ox_core, ESX, QBX, ND.
  • Same qtarget compatibility layer.
  • Same convars and the same export surface.

Because the Lua API is identical to upstream, the official ox_target documentation is the canonical reference for addBoxZone, addGlobalPed, addModel, and the rest of the export surface.
